This is a page for interesting links that I find as I browse cyber space. There is lots of junk, but just as much interesting stuff.

Project Gutenberg

  • This is an amazing website. There are tonnes of books (tend to be older books) which can be downloaded and read on your computer or ipod or other small handheld devices (even a Nintendo DS can be used to read these books). Basically anything that can handle a .txt file can be used to read these books. I have been using my Nintendo DS to read books like Frankenstein and other classics. I am also reading the original Dracula. Very cool stuff. But there is also a lot of great devotional and research stuff available here. Go to the Christianity Bookshelf and have a look around. I have been browsing through here a lot and I tend to download more than I will ever have a chance to read or look at.

Spiritual Exercises
  • I was trying to find a copy of Loyola's book in a pdf format and I came across this, it's almost as good as having a pdf. It would be neat to do the retreat that these guys talk about on this page. Anyway, have a look through some of these exercises, they are very interesting.

Kongregate
  • Ok, so I am getting too old for video games. I know. However, just so you know I have uninstalled all the games from my computer. They truly are a waste of time when it all comes down to it, but some times a guy just needs to unwind and distract himself without getting into some complex extremely long game. Kongregate.com provides that happy medium. Great games, free and they won't suck your hours out of you. I suggest games like Fantastic Contraption, Desktop Tower Defense Pro and Hyper Cube 1 and 2. They are mentally challenging, clean and don't involve ridiculous violence. If you are ever stuck, look at the highest rated games and look for Greg's picks... they are usually pretty good.
